We're a family. A group of extremely different people who love each other intensely, and try to take the best of what each one has to give to make the whole a piece of art. See what you think of our journey.
I also just remembered a funny Dylan moment. A couple weeks ago we went to Grammy and Paw's for Sunday dinner. Grammy usually keeps ice cream sandwiches in her freezer for the grandkids. Soon after we got there Dylan asked if he could have one. Grammy, feeling bad, said, "Oooh, I think I only have one left." Without a moments hesitation and with a giant smile on his face he replied, "I'll take it!" To which we all laughed hysterically. He did, too. Take it I mean.
I had a bad day yesterday, and didn't sleep well last night. Needless to say I woke up out of sorts. So, I really needed Lauren this morning. She said" Mom I'm hungry now, lets go to the kitchen." We did. She sat at the table and said, "I'm eating parrots and ships now". 30 minutes later, after a thorough search of the contents of every cupboard, the pantry and the fridge, I figured out what she was after. Pears and crackers. Upon delivery of the appropriate food she responded with, "Aargh, sank you." I think she has pirates on the brain this morning. Thank goodness 'cause I needed a laugh!
soooooo many things have happened since I last posted, where to begin? With today. I'm feeling very blessed to live so near my family with all the love and support we share. It helps me keep my sights on eternity. I've also been thinking how amazing it is that I have 5 siblings, all married, and I get along with all of them. And their kids. I also get along with and love all my husbands family and wish we lived closer. I have four really great kids myself. I have an amazing and hard working husband. Life is good, ya know?
I am a mom of five unique children. I am the wife of one amazing husband. I am watching my life take shape as I explore the possibilities these roles have to offer. I love my life. I hate moments in it. It's fascinating, it's challenging, it's real.
