The comedian

How young do they start, really? Dylan has been developing his sense of humor since he was two or maybe even before. Yesterday I had promised if he and Lauren would be good for all the things I had to do he could have a dollar to go to the dollar store. I forgot to bring his dollar and told him I'd just have to pay for him with my card. One of our stops was Grammy and Paw's house where, upon explaining his plight, he was promptly rewarded with a dollar. For the next few minutes while I visited with my parents he played with his dollar bill. Then he said, "If you knew someone named Bill and then you gave him a dollar, his name would be One Dollar Bill!" His kindergarten teacher is in for some laughs!

The Spider

Sad to say, he never stood a chance. Because the boys bedroom is downstairs, they tend to get a lot of spiders. Big ones. The other day Regan killed a really large one and taped it to the wall of their room. Scotch tape. It was rather gruesome and made several of the neighborhood girls scream. Dylan showed me, then when I left to get the camera, took matters into his own hands. He ripped it off the wall, wrapped the tape all the way around it and put it in the garbage under a wet pull-up. A much more dramatic ending to that spider's life than when I just flush them.
